ESL Listening Transcripts At the Doctor’s Office

Dr.Evans: Hello Mr.McKay. What brings you here today?

Tony: I have a fever and a sore stomach.

Dr.Evans: Okay Tony. I see your temperature is a hundred and four degrees. That’s very high.

Tony: Yes, I feel very dizzy and nauseous.

Dr.Evans: Did you get sick?

Tony: Yes, I vomited twice this morning.  

Dr.Evans: Did you have any diarrhea?

Tony: Yes, a little bit.

Dr.Evans: Did you take any medicine to treat your symptoms?

Tony: No doctor. I didn’t take anything.

Dr.Evans: Okay, sounds like you may have some food poisoning.

Tony: Oh, no.

Dr.Evans: Take this medicine now and again every six hours until it’s finished. You’ll be okay in about twenty-four hours.

Tony: That’s a relief. Thank you very much doctor.
