Shelley: What a beautiful day!
Johnny: Yes, it’s really warm, isn’t it?
Shelley: It sure is. It’s usually snowing at this time of year. The weather has been really pleasant recently.
Clear skies, bright, sunny, and best of all; warm.
Johnny: But I want to see snow. I’m dying to go snowboarding. The warm weather is nice, but there’s no snow on the mountains.
It’s terrible weather for snow sports.
Shelley: I prefer this weather.
We don’t have to shovel the snow.
And we don’t have to let the car warm up.
So you can sleep in a little bit.
The roads aren’t full of ice and sand, so it’s a lot safer to drive every day.
And the car is clean and not dirty with sand, so we don’t have to wash it every week.
It hasn’t been windy outside, so things aren’t blowing all over the place.
We don’t have to turn on the heater, so we are saving money on bills.
And I’m not freezing my tail off every day.
I couldn’t be happier.
Johnny: But I want to go snowboarding.
