Bob: So how was your weekend, Yumi?
Yumi: It was a lot of fun, but I’m afraid I came down with a cold. I was outside all day Saturday and the weather was miserable. It was windy and freezing.
Bob: Oh, that’s not good. I hope you get better soon. What did you get up to?
Yumi: A bunch of us went to the snow festival. It was so much fun.
But when I got home late Saturday night my clothes were soaked.
They were really wet because we were playing in the snow all day.
We went sledding down some big hills and after that we went ice skating.
After ice skating, we drank hot chocolate with marshmallows to warm up.
Then made a giant snowman.
Oh, and the best part… we had a huge snowball fight.
It was a lot of fun until Kenny got hit with a snowball right in the mouth.
He lost his front tooth.
We had to take him to the hospital.
Bob: Oh no! That’s terrible. Is he okay?
Yumi: Yes, he’s much better now.
He has a swollen lip, and he needs to go to the dentist today though.
Bob: What a bummer! So, what did you think of the ice sculptures? They are pretty unbelievable, aren’t they?
Yumi: They sure are. The festival is really incredible. I want to go back one more time.
