Have you ever heard of the holiday Boxing Day?  No, it is not a day when people put on boxing gloves and have a ________!  It is a tradition in some countries.

Boxing day is the day after December 25th, Christmas day. It is not a ________  in many countries, but it is a tradition in countries that have historical relationships with the United Kingdom. Australia, New Zealand, Trinidad and Tobago, and Canada all _________ Boxing Day.

Some people, but not everyone, celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. Boxing day is not a religious _________ at all!

So what do people do on Boxing Day? Believe it or not in some countries it is another big __________ day, kind of like Black Friday. It is also the time when people return Christmas presents to stores that they do not want. A lot of people will have the day off from work so they will spend time with family and friends. In these countries football means soccer!

So what exactly does Boxing Day mean? A _________ idea is that Boxing Day started in the United Kingdom many years ago.
