Bob: Hey Chuntao, how is your day going?
Chuntao: Oh, pretty good, I guess.
Bob: Do you have any plans next weekend?
Chuntao: Nothing yet. Is there anything happening?
Bob: A few of us are going to take part in the parade and after we will go to an Irish pub to celebrate St,Patrick’s Day.
Do you want to come along?
Chuntao: Hmm… sounds fun.
I have never celebrated St. Patrick’s Day.
We don’t really do anything for it in China.
How do you celebrate it?
What should I wear?
Bob: Haha! You will have a lot of fun.
You should wear something green.
A green shirt, sweater, socks … anything green is okay.
We will go get some fun accessories at the Dollar Store.
Chuntao: Like what?
Bob: Maybe some shamrock sunglasses, some beads, and green hats.
They have so many things to choose from.
It’s really great.
Chuntao: What happens at the Irish pub?
Bob: Well, we will drink green beer.
Oh, and the food is fantastic!
Have you ever tried corned beef and cabbage, Sheppard’s pie, or Irish soda bread?
It’s all SO delicious!
Chuntao: Oh, the food sounds nice!
But green beer? Really?
That doesn’t sound very good!
Bob: It’s just food dye.
The taste is the same as any other beer.
There will be other green drinks as well if you don’t like beer.
Chuntao: It sounds great!
Count me in!
