ESL Conversation about Work using the Present Simple

Tony: So how is life Joey?

Joey: Well, to be honest I’m a little tired of my job.

Tony: I see. You’re an accountant, aren’t you?

Joey: Yes, I am.  I wish I had chosen another career.

Tony: Why’s that?

Joey: I do the same thing every day.
I wake up early.
I drive to work.
I sit at my computer all day entering numbers.
I don’t talk to any of my colleagues because they are too busy.
I eat lunch by myself.
And then I go home at five o’clock.

Tony: So, why don’t you change jobs?

Joey: Yes, I’m thinking about it.

Tony: What do you want to do?

Joey: I don’t know. I don’t mind doing computer work, but I want a challenge.

Tony: Why don’t you go back to school?

Joey: That’s not a bad idea. Maybe I could study design or photography.
